Baby Update - March

It's been a little while since I last updated on the baby, so here is what happened most of March:

We made a couple more purchases... thanks to a few store sales and some very persuasive sales people. :o) We've decided to co-sleep with our baby at least for the firts few months and so we bought ourselves a co-sleeper! We were looking at the Arm's Reach Co-sleeper and when we saw a mega discount at Mums and Babes after one of our antenatal classes, we jumped at the opportunity and got it at a whopping 65% discount!

We have also decided to cloth diaper our baby. I was very interested in cloth diapering but when I read Lea's blog where she said this was for 'brave' people, I shelved the idea for a while (I'm typically not brave... ). Then James and I went for the Baby Festival and Bumwear had a booth there. So we asked for a demonstration and from then on we were sold! We bought a package and got to pick out a nice selection of colours for the diapers.

We've also started our antenatal classes with Thomson Medical Centre. We've been to two classes already and it been ok so far. It's nice seeing so many pregnant women in one room. And it's comforting to know that they also experience the same anxieties and concerns as you do. What's also great is that we get all these little samples of baby products at each session ;).

Finally, I'm now about 28 weeks pregnant and in my final trimester! That's two down, one to go! At this point, I'm really looking forward to seeing him. I've actually dreamt about how he looks like and according to a book I'm reading, it's a reflection of how I would like my son to look like. Needless to say, I dreamt that he looks like moi... Here's how big the bump's gotten (as of last Friday):

Once again, I've got to thank God for a smooth second trimester. It's been very smooth sailing for me (no swelling, no aches and pains etc) and I've gotten used to the fact that I am actually carrying a whole other person inside me. I spend some time every night watching my stomach move and marvel at the miracle of God's creation. He is indeed an awesome God. With that, I close my little update. I'll be seeing the doctor again this weekend, so watch this space for another picture of the bub.

Are they still white and stripey? And you gotta fasten them with a huge yellow safety pin? I used to change my cousins with those and I know how to fold them too!! hohoho

oh they're no longer white and stripey. and they have little buttons on them so no need for a safety pin! AND... you don't need to fold them! they are ready to go. since you're going to be our neighbour, you can always come over and have a go (practice practice!).
