When I think about it, the feeling is definitely bitter-sweet. The school has been very much part of our lives for the last year or so and John's learnt so much. Even I have had a mandarin refresher and at least I now coverse and SMS with John's Chinese teacher without feeling spastic or retarded.
We've also made some great friends, both John and I and though the bubs go to different schools next year, I'm sure we'll keep in touch.
Here are some pics from yesterday's "graduation" party.
The theme for the term was "Under the Sea", and this week's word was Zhang Yu (Octopus). As you can see, John was more interested in the dinosaurs.
During playground time, John kept going to the side to peep at the PlayNursery class next door. An indication he's ready for school perhaps? :)
Massive group photo. All the adults in funny costumes are the teachers. I must say the chinese teachers are VERY sporting and creative that way and are not afraid to dress up for the kids.
Here's a video of John going up to collect his certificate:
Come next term, we're going to cherish every class, every interaction and every chance to bond with everyone there.
Next year, John will be attending Chiltern House at Mountbatten. More about that soon.
